Zoo, Easter Egg Hunt, and a New Tutu!

Lots to blog about, kinda....

We went to the zoo today, and so did everyone else in town!  It was a beautiful day though.  We went at 9:30 am and didn't leave till they kicked us out! just kidding.   We left about 1 pm, because Marcus could no longer follow directions!  Molly was great.  She slept through the first part of it and enjoyed the rest.

Who needs a double stroller, Marcus only rides to go UP the hills! other wise he is running around! This works well.
We met up with Amber and her kiddos, Issac and Reese.  I could not believe this picture turned out!
Marcus checking out the gorilla..
A monkey checking out Marcus. I thought it was gonna jump on the stroller.
Isaac and Marcus checking out a star fish with too many legs...

Molly enjoying the zoo!

Here are my recent cute pictures of my kiddos!

I leave her alone for 1 minute and she tears my house apart!

Molly lookin' to take Marcus's Legos...
And this is what she built with them!
Marcus playing in Grandpa's new boat.
This is the Easter egg hunt at Dave and Shelly's house.  Marcus was soooo sad to leave that day!
Finally, Molly in her tutu, from mom's friend Patty, thank you so much! It is sooo cute!

13 years ain't so long

It's hard to believe, but 13 years ago I was a kid in Japan playing pool.  I suspect I won't ever get an opportunity like that again.  Kinda like winning the lottery.  For those of you who don't know, I used to be a bit of a MacIntosh (that's the old name for a Mac BTW) hacker and I wrote a little piece of software called Matt Paint.  Mat paint was one of the first color paint programs on a Mac.  It was shareware.  It cost $25.00 (which included shipping a 3.5 inch floppy disk directly to you).  I probably sold 100 copies.  But the big break came when a company called In Graph telephoned from Tokyo and wanted me to take Matt Paint, re-work it and turn it ito something they could use to demonstrate the Minolta Dimage V (no it's not "d" image 5, but de'mash vee).  They titled the software Digi Photo Grap, could have been Digi Photo Crap, they didn't really seem concerned when I mentioned how those two sounded a lot alike.

Anyway that's me lining up the queue, I still have the lizard t-shirt, it doesn't fit as well now though.  The girl in the background, Noriko, was an office girl at In Graph and my translator.  I was there nearly a week, all on In Graph's ticket.  A year later Inacom would send me to Caracas.  The late nineties were pretty cool times.  A lot's happened since, and I'm sure a lot more is to come.  I sure am glad that old yakuza on the train only punched me in the kidney instead of something worse.  How else could I punched in the back again, at Do-Hickey's, nearly ten years later.

Growing up!

Molly is getting sooo big!  She is finally starting to really get around a bit.  She is still not crawling, but somehow she manages to scoot around the room.  She is also getting really good at cruising around the coffee table and toy table.  She had the flu or something last week, and is finally done throwing up all the time. Now, she just has Marcus's bad cough.  If it is not one, it is the other.  Literally.  One is sick every other week. I kinda wish it was the same week.  Then I could, know, that I was going to work at least every other week.

Marcus is doing great!  He gets to go to the big kids room at daycare once a week to get used to it.  He won't be over there all the time till the fall.  But he behaves over there better than with the little kids, I am told.  Marcus will be 3 in May.  I am trying to teach him to hold up three fingers.  We never did master two fingers.  Oh well.  If I could get him to eat something other than chicken nuggets, I would feel quite accomplished.

I plan on spending a lot of time outside this week.  It will be in the 50's all week!  A heat wave!

Spring is here!!!!!

Are you ready for all these pics!!!???

I realize I havn't posted anything in a while, so here is goes.  I had to empty my memory card, it was full, so I decided to upload a few pics from the last couple months.  Nothing too exciting, but pretty cute!

Here is Molly trying to get every last crumb!  She is all ready a better eater that Marcus is!

This is Molly, just being Molly!  Always happy and playing around!

This is Marcus's favorite way to wear a shirt.  He is stretching out the neck of every shirt he has.  Sorry to whoever gets these shirts when he is done.

Molly is showing her dad a thing or too about running a computer...just kidding Matt!

Molly's favorite thing right now, is to play standing up.  She will play and play and as she does, her feet spread further and further apart.  She doesn't quite have the balance and coordination to bring them back together again.  Which is when I come to the rescue!

Smiles all Around

I think Molly is smiling a little bit, maybe it's gas. She was pretty tired yesterday afternoon. We left the house at 4:05 AM, to catch our 5:40 AM flight. Thanks go out to Midwest Airlines and their affiliates for the ride to Philly.

Sarah, Michael and Lil' Samuel met us at our hotel in Central City. We're right across from the Philadelphia City Hall. Ronnie was all like, "All the couches are full bro." So our sisters and brothers at Marriott said come stay with them. Pretty great (although slightly obstructed) view of the city hall tower (I think that's Ben Franklin or somebody standing on top, some body else's picture).

Another early morning (5:30 AM EST/4:30 AM CST) for us today. Caught a cab to Wills Eye Hospital at 6:00, got the doctor's analysis by 8:15... No new RB seeds. That's great news. We won't have to come back until late June early July. Molly can have her IV port removed, and be even more of a totally normal little girl.

So Molly is calling me "Ah da da," but her word for Kalee is "Ba." I don't know if she thinks Kalee is her "Ba" (bottle) provider, or if she thinks they are one in the same.

Tomorrow's another early morning, but it means we'll be home around noon.

U wer so like BUNNY SUIT BUNNY SUIT

I know you just couldn't wait. You needed the bunny suit didn't you. You had to see it. Well here it is, in all its glory. I think the utility belt really makes the outfit.

So the suit served it's purpose and kept the fiberglass out, mostly. I think I was coughing and sneezing the stuff up for at least a couple of days afterwords. The end product? No more hearies the talkies in the basement. Drywall next week. Can't wait.
