All Good News

So nothing but good news from the doctors in Philly.  Dr. Shields suggested we have a fun and stress free summer.  I concur.

City of Brotherly Love

Sorry, I don't have a picture to add this post.  Molly and Kalee are asleep and I'm in the lobby on the hotel's complimentary computer station.

We all made it safe and sound and on time, maybe 20 minutes early to Philadelphia.  I met a father and son duo in the airport, heading to Chicago.  They had come to see the College World Series.  I never got their names, but they were glad to come see the CWS, because in their words, "No World Series would come," to them in North Chicago (that's where the Cubbies play at Wrigley, btw).

Our hotel has a complimentary shuttle to and from the Airport, which saves us a bunch of money.  Cabs aren't super expensive, but each trip to and from Philly City Center is $28 + tip.  Our driver name was Omar.  He's quite possibly the most helpful driver I've ever had.  He drove us by the trainstation a couple blocks away, and went out of his way to help us.  When we got to the hotel we found out that Kalee B. was the guest of the day!  Maybe because we're guests of the day, or maybe because the staff here is just the most helpful folks around, I don't know but they've made things great.

Tomorrow's a big day, it starts at 5:30 AM.  It's 12:45 AM and I can't sleep.  Wish me luck.  We'll have to catch our first train at 6:17.

Memorial Weekend in O'neill 2010

We had so much fun this weekend at grandpa's big farm.  I asked Marcus on Sunday if he was ready to go home and he said, "NEVER!", in quite a growley tone.  Marcus got to swim in the creek....he also got to experience a leach. They found a painter turtle and we all rode in the back of the truck.  Marcus also learned how to pee outside.  He had a lot of firsts this weekend.  Molly's big first, was that she is now walking all over...ALL over.
Charlee, Marcus, Gracie, Lillian, and Ethan playing in the creek.  We probably have the same photo of all of us as kids in the same creek.

Marcus also go to see a big turkey, some cows, and a deer ran right by us when he was flying a kite.  Marcus caught his first fish, and Matt caught his first fish, in like 20 years.  Marcus, and all the kids, were literally, in swimsuits for 2 days, with no naps and without eating any food with nutritional value.  Sounds like a good time!  I was exhausted!
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial weekend!!
