The zoo, again!

OK, so this is Molly jumping on the couch and look at her hair, finally long enough for a bow!!
My little couch potatoes!  Enjoying a snack and some tv.
My version of a double stroller!
The classic Marcus being silly, and Molly sucking her thumb.
Marcus and Molly playing on the train by the sea lions!  This train does not move and it didn't matter to my kids.

Yummy stuff...

So I don't usually put recipes on here, but I found this recipe at allrecipes.com and I tried it.  I literally ate the whole pan in one day!  I also didn't get the name of it, so I called them...

Graham Cracker Coconut Thingies
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 c. flaked coconut
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 pkg milk chocolate chips

1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
2.  In a medium bowl, stir together the graham cracker crumbs and coconut.  Pour in the condensed milk and melted butter, mix until well blended.  Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
3.  Bake for 10-12 min in the preheated oven.  Remove and let cool.  Melt  chocolate chips in microwave or over a double boiler.  Spread over the cooled bars, chill and cut into squares.

makes 16 bars.  calories:263 and total fat 13.5g

Add those calories up, and that is what I had today! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..... good!

Unoriginally Yours

-- Gifts for Men --

Men are amused by almost any idiot thing -- that is why professional
ice hockey is so popular -- so buying gifts for them is easy. But you
should never buy them clothes. Men believe they already have all the
clothes they will ever need, and new ones make them nervous. For
example, your average man has 84 ties, but he wears, at most, only
three of them. He has learned, through humiliating trial and error,
that if he wears any of the other 81 ties, his wife will probably laugh
at him ("You're not going to wear THAT tie with that suit, are you?").
So he has narrowed it down to three safe ties, and has gone several
years without being laughed at. If you give him a new tie, he will
pretend to like it, but deep inside he will hate you.

If you want to give a man something practical, consider tires. More
than once, I would have gladly traded all the gifts I got for a new set
of tires.

Horses and Zhu zhu pets and race cars

The title pretty much sums it up....
Molly riding the horse at Gandma and Grandpa's house.

Marcus and Molly chasing the zhu zhu pet, and then attacking me!

Here are the kids being cute.  The one of just Molly, is her classic look.  I think that is how she can see best.  Although, I don't know what she is looking at, me or somewhere in the distance.

The Zoo Over the 4th of July....

We are so lucky to have the big zoo right in our little town!  And I am so lucky to have a zoo pass!  Marcus is always excited to go.  This time we got to go with Lala and Papa and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike and cousin Sammy and cousin Heather, cousins Walker, Mason, and Raliegh.  Lots of us!  I hope everyone had fun.  I know I did and my kids did too.
Marcus and his Papa, with a very friendly lizard at the zoo!
Molly and her dad at the petting zoo.  She really likes to chase peoples dogs, so we thought she would have a good time chasing the pets at the zoo and we were right!

Marcus feeding the birds in the parakeet tent...And Raliegh too.

And Finally, Happy Birthday Grandma Lala!!!  We love YOU!!!!  Hope you had a great day!

Some Random Summer Pictures....

I am sorry I have neglected the blog...it has been a busy summer.  We have been playing sooo much and traveling the world, who has time to sit at a computer!?!  Anyway, here are some fun pics from this summer so far.

Happy Birthday to Matt, back in June!  I  am pretty sure Marcus was more excited than Matt!
Marcus was finally tall enough to ride the Ferris wheel at Scheel's.  This was very exciting also.  Almost as much as birthday cake!

This is our classic Marcus and Molly picture.  Everytime I try to get a picture, Macus grabs her and "holds" her in his lap.
And this is where we spend a good portion of our day!  That is my lifeguard chair, where I sit with my feet in the pool!  Right next to the water slide! And yes, we need a bigger pool!
